Hello and welcome to Romance Recipes where I am happy to introduce you to a new author and a new recipe! Two of my favorite things! Today I am bringing you author, Lacie Doyle, and her recipe for The Super Fast & Super Easy Smoothie along with an introduction to her contemporary romance, The Contract. Please join me in welcoming Lacie and savor her recipe for smoothies as you read about her new book!
The Contract is Book 3 of the Risky Business trilogy, which revolve around three best friends as they each engage in a little office romance while they run their business empires. In The Contract, Jeremy Lucas has been propositioned by their company attorney to spend a night with him. Apparently she made a bucket list, and he’s on it.
Asking a business colleague isn’t something Meredith Kincaid ever thought she’d do, but, probably against her better judgment, she has. When she’s not approaching men with inappropriate suggestions, she’s usually managing a busy life as an attorney. But though she may spend the majority of her days behind a desk and in a business suit, when she’s at home she likes to trade those business suits for track suits and take a daily jog around the neighborhood. After all, having a busy schedule is no excuse not to treat her body right.
That belief extends into what goes into her body as well. Despite constantly being on the go, she does like to make sure what she puts into her body is good and nutritious. And not being the domesticated type, the easier the recipe, the better. Below is a recipe for the nice, thick breakfast smoothies she likes to drink, perfect for when she’s running low on time and needs to rush out the door.
THE SUPER FAST & SUPER EASY SMOOTHIE

If there’s one thing Jeremy Lucas knows how to do, it’s having fun. So when company attorney Meredith Kincaid reveals she’s crossing items off her Bucket List after recently turning thirty, with spending a night with him topping her list, he’s more than willing to help. In fact, not only does he agrees to it, but he also volunteers to assist her in fulfilling the remaining items on her list.
Except that would mean spending a lot of time together and emotions potentially getting entangled. That’s something Meredith doesn’t want to risk, despite Jeremy’s assurances it wouldn’t happen. After all, who knew better about having fun with no strings attached than the ultimate bachelor?
But Meredith wants a guarantee. So what better way to ensure against that happening than by having them both sign a contract promising not to fall in love?
Jeremy stared at the paper for what seemed like minutes, not saying a word, while with each passing second Meredith berated herself for ever approaching him with such an outrageous proposition. What had she been thinking?
“I’ll do it.”
Time stopped as his words sunk in. He actually agreed to it. She released a breath of relief knowing that the biggest hurdle had just passed.
“On one condition.”
She knew it had been too easy. And too shocking of a concept. Heat crawled up the back of her neck and it took everything in her to remain seated. She wanted to hide her head under a pillow and pull the covers over her and not come out for a long while. An eternity sounded like a good length of time before she dared show her face to her colleague ever again.
But she wouldn’t allow her insecurities show. Displaying one’s self-doubt was a weakness, and that was not something she was willing to permit.
Thus she schooled her features so as not to reveal any of her thoughts, just like always.
She raised one eyebrow. “Which is?”
“We make this a date.”
