When a blizzard strands grinchy pararescueman, Jensen Hartley at the festive home of Holly Conroy he isn’t prepared for the overwhelming holiday spirit the Conroy family pours on him. He doesn’t do holidays, but something about the Conroys make him long for things he vowed never to want again.

Holly Conroy loves the holidays. Christmas, especially. This year, she gets more than she asked for when a handsome stranger shows up at her door in the middle of the worst winter storm she’d seen in years. She only hopes he can survive being stranded with her jovial family during the holidays.

Christmas with the Conroys is a fun holiday read, full of family, romance and delectable food. As an added bonus you get some of the recipes from the story! So snuggle in with your favorite blanket, a cup of hot chocolate and enjoy this entertaining holiday story and some recipes to add to your holiday baking list.

The tugging on his leg grew stronger and he looked down to see Ava staring up at him. “Holly made a cookie for you too,” she said. “Wanna see it?”

“Sure.” Glad for an excuse to avoid conversation about him being a hero, Jensen stepped out of line and followed the little girl to the end of the table. She jumped up, grabbed a cookie off a plate and handed it to him.

A gingerbread man decorated with colorful icing and his name written in soft script filled his hand. Something tightened in his chest.

“See? Aunt Holly made me one too. Mine has my name on it.”

He tore his eyes from the cookie to look at Ava.

“Do you like yours?” Ava asked.

He shook himself out of his stupor, upset that a cookie had awakened old memories and made him remember pieces of his life he’d tried so hard to forget.

A tug on his pant leg. Ava stared up at him as she chewed the arm of her gingerbread lady. “Aren’t you going to eat your cookie?”

Jensen swallowed the lump in his throat, feeling like a fool. It was just a cookie.
